Designed by leading racing yacht designer Bruce Farr Associates, the First 40.7 is a superb combination of competitive IRC racer and performance cruiser. The spacious cockpit has all sail controls within easy reach, the large steering wheel gives a light yet accurate helm. All deck gear is to a very high specification with sail wardrobes to suit the charter type.
The combination of a fractional rig with swept spreaders means sail and rig controls are kept simple, meaning the yachts are ideal for a novice crew.
We will be racing with full racing sails including spinnakers.
Below decks there is comfortable accommodation for six to eight in three double cabins plus two saloon bunks.
